Lantern making

Make your very own willow lantern.

Date – fri 3rd nov  £45.00 see www.ecclesallwoodscraftcourses.co.uk

Stand out this Halloween and bonfire night with your very own handmade lantern.

This course will provide you with all the materials, tools and information to create your own willow lantern that you can use over and over again at festivals, lantern processions and Halloween!

We will learn the art of bending soaked willow to create a lantern shape of your choice and attach it using basic lashing techniques.

We will decorate it using tissue paper, pva and a decoration of your choice, you could have a woodland theme, create a pumpkin lantern or even have a dragonfly lantern.

The lantern will have a hoop so that you can either hang it up or carry it around with you on a woven willow stick.

The course is run in a friendly and relaxed environment by Nadine Grundy, who has been qualified in teaching art and crafts in schools and workshops for thirteen years and is also a forest school instructor.
