Learn the amazing versatility of bark and learn to process, weave and create your own crafts.
Bark is a fantastic material that is can be harvested from the tree in the spring and summer time and can be processed and made into beautiful, functional objects.
On this course we will look at a selection of different barks from my collection and I will show you items that can be made from them.
Make yourself a small but beautiful pouch that you could use for glasses, your phone or as a keepsake bag from locally harvested chestnut bark and other foraged materials.
We will learn how to create string and cordage from various materials such as nettlen and various barks to stitch the pouch together
Covid 19 – please note that all longer overnight courses have been postponed until 2021 and i am putting in place a selection of 1 and half day courses for 2020. For these courses i will not be providing the usual communal soup at breaktime to reduce the risk to students. Bring your own woodland picnic and flask instead ;0)
