Intro to Spoon Carving –

Spoon carving is a fantastic introduction into green woodwork and one that can provide a lifetimes enjoyment. It is a fantastic skill to learn as it can be done anywhere, with few tools and very little space. On this course we will learn to carve a cooking spoon that you can use in your home using three tools; an axe, carving knife and a spoon knife.

As well as carving I will show you how to sharpen and look after your tools and also how I finish and decorate them. Although all tools and wood are provided, you are welcome to bring your own if you have them.

The venue is in the heart of Sheffield and easily accessible by road or public transport

Hot drinks and snacks will be provided but please bring a packed lunch for our break.
